Jacksonville, unlike other east Texas impoundments, is not on fire! The back of mid-lake coves yesterday yielded 58 water and no sightings. The north end was murky and 55 and no bites on red traps.

I hope the people who poisoned the lake and planted the carp are happy with their achievement...I sure ain't. mad

I was told there were bass on Beds at Jacksonville by somebody that fishes in the Thursday Night Tournaments. Is that true?

i found about 10 beds but only 4 fish locked this past friday 3/19. The rest of the fish i saw were either cruisin or would be on the bed and jet when i pitched to em. I caught all the fish that were locked, but i did catch 1 female that was hanging around a bed that was a 19in keeper. I figure that the cold front/snow pushed em off but they should push back by this weekend.

The lake is full and then some.

The bass may be tryin' to climb in the boats but we never saw 'em nor did we find any sustainable 60 water. Maybe it'll turn on for the weekened after the Thursday night people wake 'em up?

I was down there a few years ago and hadn't caught anything. I came into a cove that had some pretty, green hydrilla a few feet under the surface and immediately caught two fish.

About that time a lady that had to be between 85 and 90 years old came out onto her dock. When I got close to her she said, "They were supposed to have killed all this damn hydrilla. I'm gonna call the city about it again!"

I guess it probably bothered her when she went swimming...

The water temp doesn't have to be 60 degree's for them to start spawning. Some start when the water temps get into the higher 50's range from what I have seen. Thanks for your help.
