Well after giving it a lot of thought regarding to stepping down from posting here, finally decided that no matter what others say about me, that I do not care, so for those that do enjoy my posts you will still get them and for those that do not, oh well! After everything that happended last week, am not in violation of any game laws, just should of posted more clearly about what I did. That will not happen again. Anyway for the fishing, Friday fished with repeats Tony Horton and his dad Nick(they cannot get enough), windy and fish hard to find stacked up but ended up with 45 nice Whites, throwing back about 25 or so more. Sat fished with first time clients Greg and Chris Hunt along with father(thanks Omar), light winds, ended up with 68 nice Whites from 12 to 16.5 inches, most on hell/pet but about a dozen early on tailhummers fished back in a cove in water 9-11 feet. We probably had 85-90 or so with all the throwbacks. It was a little annoying to see the many bass club fisherman running right next to you, fellow forum member Birddog and I were side beside in a small cove only to see a big bass boat split us at over 50 mph. Why? Then later were fishing a point with the hell/pet rig only to have a bass boat pull beside us and tell us to leavae becasue he was fishing a tournament and this was one of his hotspots, so instead of arguing with him, we left him and found fish elsewhere. I hope he wins the tournament. For those of you wanting info on fall night fishing, I will try sometime this week at night and see if things have improved. Tried it 2 weekends ago only to get 12 Whites, no Hybrids and saw hundred of small Gar. Cool weather is the key. ------------------ Billy Seaman(guide Service)

You're a better man than I, Billy. Anybody pulls up next to me on a public lake and tells me to get off of "his" spot would not get treated the same. I fish tournaments, and would NEVER DREAM of telling someone to move.

They always fly by me at CC, I know Birddog and I can only imagine what he was thinking... Probably would have thought and said the same thing myself. Now the other issue, hmmm, Did he ask or tell? Cause one is worse then the other, but both would have gotten the, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE AND I AM STAYING LOOK AND RESPONSE FROM ME, FOLLOWED BY MANY OTHER THINGS I AM SURE. I would have told him this was my hotspot too. Maybe we can post the spot on the bass section and then it will be everybodies spot then too LOL You are better then me, cause I would have said several things and my "guideboat" LOL, would have stayed and when I left it would have been very fast.... I hope he lost the tournament. Would like to know which tournament it was too. ARGHHHH makes me mad just thinking about it. Nice report though, glad you got them.

Good to see posted results Billy, only thing wrong I can see is leaving to help the bass fisherman, I guess though you would probably do the same for the rest of us if we see you on fish just pull in and tell you you were fishing in our hot spot. Like the rest it would have been awful hard for me to leave had I heard that from some- one else if I was catching fish particularly if I had paid clients in the boat. Funny how a true fisherman seems to be a lot more polite than the wannabe boys.

I know its hard to believe but I was not that mad at the idiots that zoomed past us. I get hot after a couple of times and start to boil when it keeps occuring. I called Billy to tell him about some hybrids surfacing for two days at the tennis courts and I can only blame it on that boat must have spooked them away.It figures that when I have time to fish they turn off.Sorry Billy I was only trying to help out when I called. I was after hybrids Sat and got skunked.

Billy, I don't know who might have a problem with you. I do know that whoever they are, haven't a clue about sportsmanship. You on the otherhand have always epitomized it. I am with Steve on this one though.. The guy who came up and told me to leave would have gotten a nice view of my bad side. When he starts fishing from a submarine, he can keep his hot spots to himself. You are WAY too nice!!! A much bigger man then I! It will surely come back around to you...and you'll deserve it! I wanna fish with Bradbury, and Billy, and redfin, and varner!!!! Just a wishlist .. Mine! ------------------ BENCHMARK MORTGAGE 972-429-9776

Billy,
That's why I quit tournament fishing. I was getting lumped in with those idiots and I didn't like it. Some of them think since they paid to fish the tournament it gives them more rights then other people. (I actually had people tell me that when I was still fishing tournaments.) I really wish more lakes would ban tournaments.
I would have done just what you did, saying nothing, but I would also have wrote down the description of the boat and their "TX" numbers to call in, which I do sometimes. That is especially true of the one who split you at 50 MPH. I don't think it does any good but, if the same numbers keep popping up, it might. It would rid the good tournament guys of some of their idiots, too.
Please let me know about your night fishing. I hurt my back again and am done doing anything, including fishing, for 1 month. I didn't get the boat out at all this past week, another 3 to go. The night fishing may be going good about the time I get off the disabled list. I've never night fished for hybrids before so any information you can forward will be great.

The part about fishng that spot when the bass fisherman told us to leave was that we were fishing about 80 yards out from the point, while they were in close throwing spinnerbaits, fishing for largemouth bass, we were of course fishing for whites. I did not think what effect we had on them, but as were leaving another bass boat flew in on them, threw some wake on thier boat and they dropped a trolling motor about 50 yards from them, either they were friends or they were going to get an earful for fishing a hotspot. So we ended up back in Key Ranch about a half mile from shore where no other boaters where. ------------------ Billy Seaman(guide Service)

Went down this afternoon with father in law and my son. Fished from 1:30 til 5, lake deserted, calm and a little drizzle. Saw a total of one boat and he was catfishing. found Sandies in 3 spots, keeping a grand total of 30 over 13.5 inches and 2 over 16. Water 11-14 feet on hell/pet and tailhummers. Tried awhile for Hybrids and got one that went a little over 8 on a 2 oz. holiday slab in water 25 feet. Guess we caught around 75 whites, but oly kept 30 to fill my father in law's freezer. I was looking forward to anotehr bass boat flying by me, but the only thing that flew by was a crane. ------------------ Billy Seaman(guide Service)
