hello guys, now that spring is here i have been getting out on the pond more lately. The pond is verry weedy except for this time of the year because of the snow melt and flood that weve had. the max depth of the pond is about 12 feet but its around 3-5ft average. Ive been fishing the shorelines with spinnerbais and soft plastics but no success at all, not one nibble. There is a small cove that we also tried topwater frogs but no success either. We then tried jigging the deeper end of the pond, but no success. What are your ideas? i think i shld try jigging the deeper end of the pond more, what do u think?

What part of the world is this pond in? That would help people give a little advice. Water temp could be playing a major factor in what the fish are doing and what you should be using to be successful.

No/few bass in the pond is always a possibility.

Senko or Fluke will get you beat up on any stock pond.

Minnows. Catch a few and see what's in there. You might have to stock the pond yourself and come back to fish it in a few years.

I'd throw a swimbait and keep it just on top of the grass

Massachusetts? Are ya'll really allowed to fish up there? just kidding ya!

I would think that your water temps are pretty cold and the bass would be pretty lethargic. I would try a small finesse jig or like has already been mentioned deadsticking a fluke/senko.

Good luck and keep us posted!
