There is a guy that comes out and he lives on the river. He blasts up and down in his boat has a merc on the back just waiting for him to crash that boat gets squirrely. Youguys are right nobody needs to go that fast on Dunlap that river can change when high water comes. Look at that tree in the middle of the river by the softball fields.. That is scarey to think about hitting that or whatever is under the water.

I was thinking about fishing Dunlap some during the week. Makes me wonder. Sounds like Dunlap has more than its share of crazy boaters.

You can never have too many spooks and those black ones are hard to find. The redfish at the coast absolutely love 'em!

Let me know when you head out there, and tie on the spook with 20lb Seaguar if you wouldn't mind.

May want to re-think that statement....

I always take it off the step and idle by...just makes more sense..but judging by most (all) of your comments on this thread you apparently have none.

I guess I have never seen you or so called KrazyJay out there, because I have yet to see a boat come off plane and idle by a fisherman including the game wardens.
I've seen a couple of morons slow down when coming up on me, thus increasing their wake and hitting me with that, but never an idle by.
If you want to idle by, great... but please hug the bank on the opposite side so I can squeeze through, thank you.

I remember that boat crash. I work for the FD here in NB and I took care of one of those people that were hurt over there in front of west shore colony apartments. That was a wicked crash. I fish that lake at least 3 times a week DURING THE WEEK only. Too many yahoos that like to wake my 17' aluminium cener console(more so on the weekend but during the week as well). Most people go by me as fast as they can or slow to half speed, like someone mentioned, and throw that huge "Wake Board" wake and I have to sit down on the bow or go swimming. The fishing is picking up so it is worth dealing with the dumb peeps(for the most part). We just had our FD bass tourney last week on wednesday and the biggest fish was only 5# 4oz but there were a few 7-ish # bass lost during the day.Going in the morning to try to boat a hog..See ya'll on the water..Hank

You'll see me out there, just been fishing better places with a lower population of idiots, dont need to get into anymore trouble anytime soon. But i'll be out there, and i'm so called krazyjay for a reason, since i was about 10yrs old, a little older and a little wiser now. Good luck and Good fishing!

was that the wednesday it was raining? If so I was down there in the white c.c.s.o. expedition along with one of my guys. saw several boats around 3pm get out of the water and pull up to the top of the ramp. I remember two center consoles up there along with a small boat and a dark colored viper where the weigh in was.

Yep that was our tourney. What a great day for fishing. I was soaked to the bone. We had a good turn out though and had about 25 people entered. The money raised for our local union was donated to one of the firemen for medical expenses from a really sick kiddo that has been in and out of surgery. I saw you sitting in that ccso expedition. You do look familiar. I started at canyon lake fire/ems in late 1993 and was a captain over there for a number of years before I moved over to NBFD in 2002.I used to work along side doug philips, mark reynolds and all the guys that worked the ESU team on the river. Those were some good times. Tell Doug amd Mark that Hank says Howdy if you see them. Doug is one fishing fool..I better get my boat squared away for tomorrows trip. I really caught the snot out of the bass today. I am praying for the 10 #er??
