A couple of questions for you guys: where do you buy your impeller replacement kits('99 mercury 150) and what would you use to fill in(repair) about a 2' strip torn off right down the center of the keel guard? Thanks in advance.

I was at Academy last week and on the isle where the trolling motors are located on the wall peg rack they had several impeller kits for the Mercury's not sure what year or HP they were if I remember correctly $35-40.
Might check them out.
They were in the Mercury logo type packaging.

Get the model number from your engine and do a search online like at boats.com or just google it. You can also buy them at your local marine dealership.

NAPA auto parts either has it in stock or can get it overnight. I have bought them there at what I thought was a reasonable price. bg

Academy does carry Mercury kits. I get mine from a boat dealer in Fort Worth. I can always ask them questions and get good answers from them right away. So they get my business.

unless you've done it before, take it to a mechanic. it's not as easy as it looks. let him change that & the lower unit oil, it's real cheap insurance.
