I am trying to get Byron on the show this week. He won his first ever Elite Series event this past weekend at the Golden State Shootout. He lead the tourny wire to wire. He is known for his skill in fishing a swimbait- which is what he mopped the field with this past weekend.
If you have any serious questions about swimbait techniques or his strategy in winning this past weekend please post them. I am not going to get into his personal life stuff (i.e. The Bachelor or his fiance punching him).
He lives in Del Rio and really is a nice guy and a heck of a fisherman. Let me hear from ya.

hey if you go on bassmaster.com and look up the "Master" series he has a whole blog about swimbaits, and there are several for different techniques... check it out great info

I like the guy but honestly didn't think he had it in him after all those years. I'd ask him just how big the gorilla was that he got off his shoulders by finally winning an elite series event.

What conditions are best suited for the swim bait? I.E. blue bird sky, overcast, partly sunny... wind? Calm, steady, does it really matter?

i new byron when he was in college in southern calif. i started out fishing the same lakes he did. fished with his partner back then. i want to know what he does different fishing east texas lakes compared to southern calif.
ask him about oso lake and fishing it at nite so he wont get caught. it will really get him thinking......how the heck do you know about that. if he ask tell him a former fountain valley resident. he will know who i am. he doesnt know i am now in houston
