Got six LMB out of a secret pond by work yesterday. Me and a buddy threw lizzards out and got bites just about every cast. Some good some small. Got 8 total in thirty-five minutes.

Yes, its the best time of year to catch big bass in ponds. In my area, the big bass are on the spawn now. It won't last much longer so now is the time to go after the best fish in the pond. Got a 6.3 yesterday.

Yep, they're on. Fished a baddazz 50 acre private lake outside Athens last weekend. Had an 11.5, 10, 8.25 and a pair of 7's. Total fish ~70 with bunches of 2-4 pounders. It was a great day. Caught on t-rigged brush hogs, basstrix paddletail tubes and white/silver blade. Fun day. Going back after 'em Sunday.
Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

ok everyone is catching stuff everywhere, I have a private tank (family owned) that I have fished for many many years, and this year has been c-r-a-p. I have caught 1 LMB out of it and it was like 2 pounds. even went down friday night at like 930 at night to try something different, I dont get it we have always caught plenty out there and good size but nothing yet.

This has been a cold winter and the bite will be almost a month delayed from your normal pattern. Combined with the drought last year and the wetter than normal fall has really messed up normal. This is assuming the tank has been managed properly.

honestly there is nothing really done down there. It has been in the family for 70+ years. we pulled a 10+ pound Largemouth last year and hooked a 40+ pound flathead last year that gave me a bath. broke my line after a 5-10 min. fight. its a water conservation tank that is on our land.
