I was thinking about getting this:

Issues? Concerns? Ideas?

I guess I'm asking because I seem to be missing something. I was at BP yesterday and I see three life vests, all Type II, all auto-inflating, all the "mini" type you can wear for extended periods while fishing, all made by Mustang (one did have a BP patch on it, but was made by Mustang. The only difference I could find was the price. 289 (Mustang), 239 (Mustang), 189 (made for BP by Mustang). Of course there has to be a difference, but what?

May just be size----bouyancy, one is 22.5 Lbs & the other is 35 lbs. Plus one says made in USA with imported parts, the other doesn't say?

They all say 35 Lbs bouyancy. Don't know about "made in" part though. Here are the other two links:

http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores...021000_100-21-2

Interesting that the price online is about $20 to $30 cheaper for each of them.

Thanks!

So now it seems like the difference between them is:
- Type of inflator - apparently HIT is a good thing to have
- Various types of straps for the harness
- Color / manufacturer

I'm going with the middle priced one.

One thing about these,(didnt know if you were aware), Correct me if I'm wrong but you do have to be whearing these at all times if using for one of the life jackets out of the on board life jackets per person. I do own one and where anytime im in the boat on water.

Hey thanks. I did know it should be worn all the time, but thought it was only a safety reason. Didn't realize it was also a requirement to count as one of the lifevest requirements.
