I was prob 1/2 mile downriver from the ramp, You can see how close the next family is, We parked by the ramp and walked that far before we could find enough space to squat, there were people/groups about every 10yds along the bank, Everybody casting straight out...

there were prob 2 dozen people down there fly fishing and while watching... they were doing very well. Some of the Fly guys were Spot & Stalking the Whites up in the rapids. When we got bored with fishing, we went up into the rapids to poke around and I saw quite a few Female whites with 2-3 Males stacked around her looking for a place to lay her eggs.

All the Males we caught were "squirting" everywhere when we pulled the up on the bank.

I tried to be normal but it got boring so it's just back to being ME~

I was right up the bank from you dbones I guess when the center console pulled through weaving in and out of the wading fly fishers. They were laughing at the older gentleman that was fishing next to me when he slipped into the river.
Oh well, we had a great time fishing as well and man was it busy.
Good luck to all

Kinda torn between thinking it will put the dampers on them and run them back to the main lake... or Nuthing... the Females eggs looked ripe & about to explode, guesstimated that they were/are within a couple days of spawning if they haven't already

What I can't figure out is that I live 1/4 mile from Belton Lake, yet drive 60 miles to go fishing.... My girlfriend asked me that, all I could say was "there was a fish that needed catching"...

yep, kinda hard to justify that one, its just something we have always done for the past 20 years or so. Kinda like opening day dove hunting, it kicks off the season

Did anyone see that pop up camper that didn't look like the traditional pop up camper to the left from the station? I am interested to know what the brand was. It sure looked like it would be very light to pull.

Hey Coach, was there a camper at CBSP? I didnt know they allow campers. I was camping there last weekend in the 30's and woulda loved to be in my warm popup instead of my freezing tent.

I was there this past Friday, and it was shoulder to shoulder, most of the afternoon. Here is a pic taken around 6:30 p.m., not far from the boat ramp.
