Just "slid" into home after a couple of days at Fork. We didn't catch many fish but had a good time. We fished mainly in coves on the Southwest side of the lake where the water warmed up to 60-61 in the afternoon. We didn't find many fish on the banks and neither did the endless stream of boats around us. In fact, no one we saw caught many except the shiner fishermen. We caught a couple of 3-4 pounders on Thursday but broke off about a 10 at the boat. Heartbreaking..... We fought the wind yesterday and caught 5 more smaller fish. I hooked another good fish but it came off before we saw it. All of our fish were caught on rattletraps and rogues and the best action was from 5:30 to dark. It seems we were a little early but hoepfully we will make it back some day.

Son and I were there early this week and did really well. All the bass were very shallow, like 2-3 feet of water. I threw alot of plastics but we caught all the fish on a red eye shad in 4 different colors. Found 60 degree water on Monday, but Tuesd. and Wed. it got a little colder.
