The lake has a brown tint to it. Fish are still being caught upstream. The Nolan should be free of the algae. Otherwise, everything should be coming shallow in a week or so.

Whitney Tuff right now. I was out scouting around saturday with John Nelson Z71,marked some isolted/scattered fish but would not turn on. Set up on a hump and fished fresh cut bait and NOTTA. Dead shad every where and drum, this was fish that had been dead for a few days, no fresh kills so maybe this is the end of it. Did not see any game fish though. There is or was a kill up in the Nolan and Brazos around Kimbell Bend. I am doing some sandbass trips at a little lake just south of Ft. Worth, shhhhhhhh, Big ole fat females still on the main lake probably waiting for the water to clear up a little to run up the _ _ _ _ _ river. Buddy called from Tres Rios and said they where catching a lot of big females up there. Off 67 at Glenrose.

Had to fish Whitney yesterday (under protest I might add), and we were limited out by 10:30 with fish up to 13#... Harbor Master has so many dead shad floating that it looks like snow on the lake...If you are going to fish Whitney, you better find the fresh water...Good Luck Capt.Randy
