Does anybody have any info for lake belton? I have a tournament next weekend and i was just wondering the water temp and what the fish are doing? I have not fished this lake in two years. Anything would be appreciated.

If you're fishing the 20th - 21st, try to scrape up 10 lbs. That should be enough to win.

When i was there this past weekend did good Saturday but nothing tournament day. We keyed on 6ft of water on 3/8 footballs jigs on saturday shook off around 20 and caught a few. The few that we caught were around 4 or so pounds.

Should be improving. The water is finally where the corp wants it so the gates should be shut soon if not already. We;'ve been rapidly falling for a month. Tueday before last I was seeing some 60+ surface temps in the back of some creeks while crappie fishing. I did see on guy catch two nice bass casting deep of a ledge from the bank..one went over 4. I would expect the fishing to pick back up soon. I caught load of 13-16" fish this winter crappie fishing.

If the water warms, head to the very very back of Owl Creek. If the water isn't turqouise you're not there yet.

I just read the results from yesterday's Top 6 tournament. They're averaging LESS than 1 keeper per person! loco

I'm not buying it. Even Belton can't be that suckie. I'm going to take off this afternoon and run down there. I'll give you a detailed first hand report on the fishing either this weekend or on Monday.

The Cowhouse and OwlCreek arms are very muddy. My wife and i took a trip down there this afternoon. We watched a few folks fish, mostly after catfish.

The forecast calls for rain tomorrow but i may still chance it up the Cowhouse arm. If you see a guy and his wife in a little green Coleman Crawdad jon boat say hey.
