They provide a good thump in dirty water and can be used year round due to their versatility. You can jig them or spin them. Add trailers like the LF Magic Shad. Spinner bait application.. etc.

Cant deny the chatter bait action but I prefer the boogie bait due to its flexible hook

That flexible hook is very cool, I agree.

I use them when the trap bite slows down and I'm looking for another bite. But you can use them any where ou would throw a trap spinner baior swimbait don just reel it straight in try burning it in or kind of jig it.

I've found they excel when fished around grass and vegetation. Don't know why, but there are some days when they are absolutely deadly...will outfish other baits 5 to 1. But it only happens occasionally.

I will tell you, the most deadly swim jig chatterbait style presentation is the 3/8th or 1/2 oz Phoenix Swim Jig matched with a 3.5 inch Lake Fork Live Magic Shad. This combination has already produced 3 fish over 10lbs for one of our team members. The vibration and action from this bait is awesome. You can pretty much do what you wish to with this bait, but to me, it excels the most over and around vegetation and heavy timber.

I would say the best one is the original chatterbait. I have used almost every compnaies versions of them and you just can't beat the action and vibration you get form the origianl. And paired with a swimbait trailer, they are deadly.

IMO this is the time of year to be throwing them. Be careful becasue they will fill your boat with big fish!

Are you striping the skirt off and just using the swimbait?

I trim the skirt just a little to give that nice round profile right now. Some people remove the skirt, some don't trim the skirt, just all depends on what you are wanting the bait to represent

this is a new bait I got introduced to last week at Fork.....it has a double hook for better hook ups, flexible hook shank that comes back to straight when you bump it off stumps and its most unique feature is how it falls which is straight down head first with the blade "chattering". the bait is also completely lead free

If anyone has any questions about it send me a PM

I picked one of these up at the fishing show here in Houston. I love it!

Those brassnblades look like some good baits. I watched an episode off honey hole out on martin and they killed them. I do wish though that they were a couple of dollars cheaper, might make me not so hesitant to buy some.
