The past few years this tourney has went down hill bc of no one person stepping up and running it. I love fishing this tourney and have decided to take this responsibility.
The tourney will be starting up again this thursday.
It will begin at 6:00 pm and run till 9:30 pm.
We will be having a end of the year championship on a Saturday to be determined later. To qualify for this championship teams must fish one Thursday night event.

Entry fee will be 25$ with 5$ going to big bass. 100% payback!
if there are less than 15 teams we will pay 100% to first
more than 15 teams we will pay 70% to first and 30% to second.

I will have flyers printed out with all rules at the ramp.
The lake has finally caught some water and i expect some good sacks this year. Come out and lets make this tourney as good as it used to be if not better.

If anyone would like to step up and help me let me know. THere may be a few weeks over the year that i cant make it but i will be sure to have someone there to run the tourney.

I was actually not planning on starting these until april 8 so we could get more guys to come and i have prior arrangements on april 1st so i would really like it if someone would help me run these. Maybe alternate every week or something. April 1st will be the only one i cannot make for a while though.

Lake Weatherford Thursday Night Team Tournament



March 18 through October 28
Where: Lake Weatherford
Time: 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm
Rules
 Entry fee is $25.00 per team
 $5.00 entry goes into big bass pot
 Payout will be as follows
 14 teams or less 100% entry fee(minus the $5.00 big bass) to first place.
 15 teams or more will split prize money 70% to first place and 30% to second place(minus the $5.00 big bass fee)
 Big bass will be paid 100% to biggest bass weighed in
 Two man teams or solo(only two persons in boat)
 Tournament will start promptly at 6:00pm. It is the responsibility of late entries to find tournament director for payment of entry fee. (JT Larkin: 817-343-5865)
 Entry will not be accepted later than 6:30pm
 Tournament director will have official tournament time and their watch will run the tournament.
 Only artificial lures and baits may be used. No live bait.
 Only Large mouth bass(black bass) and Smallmouth bass can be weighed in
 Weigh in will begin at 9:15 pm and close at 9:30 pm sharp. Contestants must be IN weigh in line between 9:15 and 9:30 NO EXCEPTIONS!!
 All state and federal laws apply
 Dead fish result in 1/2 pound deduction per dead fish. Live well additive is encouraged
 No fishing inside restricted areas(buoys by damn) -You may fish inside buoys but your boat must remain outside.
 Bass 14 inches and over may be weighed in
 Fish will be measured by the pinched tail method, and gator golden rule will be the official tournament measuring board. Any disputes will be settled by tournament director.
 Any protest must be made during weigh in, and tournament host, whose decision will be final, will make the correct decision.
 A end of the year 8 hour Saturday Championship will be held with date to be determined, Must fish one Thursday night tournament to qualify

hey JT glad to see someone stepping forward. I remember those good ol days, but one thing you might want to add are Kentucky's. there are some good one in te lake. Just a thought.

What kind of turnout did yall have? What and who won?

Had i think 8 teams and only two teams with fish.Jason Hurt and Michael Semler won it.We had a blast and the lake is up full so no sideways boat ramp anymore.lol

Sorry it took so long for me to respond on here guys. We actually had 7 teams thursday. But hopefully we can break 10 this week. The lake is up and there is lots of new water to fish. I am gonna completely have to re learn to fish it lol. Come out this week everyone.
