Bass cat I think we met at spring creek and discussed this a couple weeks ago

liked it better when folks worried about thier cars getting broke into or burnt at the boat ramp

We tried it yesterday afternoon (3/18/10) and it was pretty slow, they definitley aren't in full swing yet. We ended up having about 10 caught in 2 hours or so. I have never seen so many boats at Hamm's Creek, but then again it is spring break. Maybe that explains all of the inconsiderate people who haul A$$ by you when you are trying to fish, hopefully they will leave with spring break.

yep, it was rediculous out there. i cant even go during the week anymore without seeing 50 boats and the fishing sucks. the game warden is everywhere now and stays busy.

come on out if you like people fising on top of you, catching 2 fish all day, rocking back and fourth from peoples wakes, dodging people who have no clue what they are doing behind the wheel of a boat, and being harrassed by the game warden all day long. he went through my entire boat and wanted to call my registration in because my card had a smudge on it from being stuffed in my wallet. never been checked out anywhere like i get checked out there. there was A SMOKING HOT lady game warden with him. she was the highlight of everyones day to say the least.

I agree. There seem to be too many loose mouths lately on here. To each their own though but I say if you earn it through your hard work and ability then keep it close so others will have to do the same. That way if someone motors up on you while your on your hole then you know they earned it and didn't read about it. Its very aggravating to wait all week to go fish then have someone crash in on you. IMHO. Sorry to seen like an AZZ but I have had people see me catch fish and motor in casting in front of me and guess what...no more fish.

As for the Game Wardens yes given my experience in the Pan Handle Pheasant Hunting I have come to the conclusion that they are being driven to try to find anything and everything they can to write a ticket. For us older sportsmen hunting and fishing both its not the way it used to be. Please assume that they are on the same quota system as your local traffic police. It is ridiculous to be be checked 3 times in a day or have all your boat gone through or your reg run because of a smudge. That smacks of state sponsored desperation. Kudos though to the GW that caught the poacher. laugh

Guys,guys,guys,

get over the fact that you are close to the metro-plexyy.and people have always known about this fishing area,,,and yes if you go out during spring break or on the weekend it will be busy...
Most importantly YOU CANNOT FIX STUPID!!!!!!!!!

now as for bashing our game-wardens get off of this ,, evryone wants these guys to catch the bad guys but to leave us alone?????
as for a "quota" get real it was just last year the state was limitting the amount of gas they could use for boats and trucks!!!
I promise you very few people have been out there more than myself this year, Ihave not seen them this year, and won't mind when i do.. again spring break just maybe they needed to be there.

TO MANY PEOPLE WANT THEIR KATE AND EDITH TOO

read the Nolan thread the other day and had this thought but didn't post it. I used to be a regular on here but quit checking in several times each day when people (usually the newer ones) started acting like they owned a particular body of water. I met one of my better friends on this site several years ago when he asked for tips on Denton Creek. This place used to be a close knit kind of place where sharing tips and info was part of the fun, seeing the "average" guy catch a bunch of fish just because you tipped him to what they were biting on. Any bashing of our Game Wardens should be an automatic trip to the WOS on any fishing or hunting forum! soap
