Well, no doubt Cedar Creek can be tough, But I have always had problems on Fork....not catching good bass, but winning. A slot lake is hard to compete on. I know its not all about luck, but there is something to be said for "right place right time". I have fished several tournaments there that have been finished with no bass over the slot.

I hear you. Its really no fun throwing that 20" fish back into the lake instead of the live well

Come a little further South and my vote goes to several: LBJ, Buchanan, Canyon, Medina to name a few. As far as I am concerned we have some real stinkers. Course the bright side is, I don't have to fish those.

Any of the small Wood County lakes...Winnsboro, Quitman, Holbrook, or Hawkins. If I had my way I would never put my boat in any of them again.

The first tournament I ever fished with Tyler Bass Club was on Quitman. We can fish Saturday or Sunday and I fished Saturday. Out of about ten boats, there was ONE fish weighed...and it barely touched 14 inches.

I think Winnsboro is the worst and Holbrook is probably the best, at least in my experience. I have fished Hawkins five times and I think I've put a total of 7 bass in the boat.

With so many better lakes in East Texas I have no idea why anyone would ever want to hold a tournament on one of those oversized ponds.
