Chris, you got that right. Going to Lake Arlington tomorrow to try to pick up some numbers and maybe a few more mirrors.

Curts carp numbers may be low but his hours are way up there!

OH, I thought " Hours" was a type of fish...

To anyone worried that they can't catch a carp. bring some catfish rigs, I have some large cats in here. buddy caught a 65 pounder yellow cat last year. also some big channels and Blue cats that I put in there. if carp don't bite, then we can have a BIG fish contest on catfish and gaspers.... The last couple big Gaspers were caught on earth works.

Steve on his original post he indicated he only wanted carp, mudcats, and drum (gaspergou) taken out. If you want eating fish, the smaller drum are in my opinion good eating.

Mudcat... I actually have an agreement with other land owners on this lake that we only allow catch and release for visitors. In our opinions, the numbers just aren't high enough with catfish, bass, crappie. as mentioned, the lack of vegetation has eally hurt this lake. when lake levels are low, I dig holes with tractor for some structure. Beavers eat X-Mas trees so that doesn't workout. I also try to create other structures to encourage population and safety for smaller fish. you wil likely notice the lack of smaller fish. Eventually I will get numbers up, I hope..

That's the carp hole I been telling ya about.. LOL.. nah, that thing was deactivated a long time ago. Lake is clean...alot of shad in it too. have a family of otters, beavers, sometimes see turkey. have seen hog and deer in past but unlikely to see. lots of birds on certain days.
