After a long hiatus from the carp world I am back at it again. Recently I've been trying to acquire more kit (I made the bad decision to sell off a bit of it years ago.) Anyways I've been searching through this forum a good bit, and I think I've found a few new small waters to fish.
The lake levels have taken over some of my favorite spots on area reservoirs so smaller waters seem to be the way to go. Anyways things are looking great, seems to be many new carpers, all and all a lot has appeared to change for the better. With all that being said I am looking to get out for a day session Wednesday, does anybody want to go? There's a few ponds I have in mind. Being a stranger to a lot of you, trust me it could be fun, I could even buy you a beer, who knows?!
Erick,

Currently in Denton at the moment, I should be in Dallas Early to mid summer. Years ago I was fishing with Al, Brian, and a few others, but they seem to be absent from this forum. Oddly enough I was at the spot you guys call The Cliffs about two weeks ago, and managed a few Buffalo in the teens. Scotts Landing seems to produce bigger carp, a friend of mine got a 22 carp, and I had a 17 in a session about a month ago, currently that swim would be near impossible to fish!

I was at the cliffs about 3 weeks ago and did pretty fair with a 25# buff, no carp though, was thinking of scott's landing this saturday but was not sure if it was still under water or not, I guess it is still a swamp?

Yeah I'd literally have to land a fish in the parking lot! It's not worth the snags, and due to the flooding the oxygen levels are really high, and it tends to hinder fishing. There's a few ponds in North Dallas I've scouted a few times, and now that they're warming up I think I'll make it out that way.

HAHAHA yeah that'd be me circa 2001-2002
Yeah I believe you were working in that area. That was a damn fine pond, but does it hold any carp? Yeah it was about 6 years ago I believe?

Yeah I've been a 'Non-member' weaseling through this forum a long time now, tons of great local info, I'm not new to carping but I haven't been able to get out for awhile now. There's a couple spots I have in mind in dallas (just to warn you these locations aren't known for their scenic beauty.) None the less a few of them have a strong head of carp. If these ponds haven't warmed any I'd like to try Bachman lake. Where are you fishing around Arlington?
