Has anyone fished Coleto any recently and have any advise? Plan on heading out there tomorrow morning. Fished there 2 or three months ago with decent results on red rattle traps, but never could lure them out of the thick grass. Any advise would be appreciated.

I was there two weeks ago and traps and shallow cranks got plenty of bites on main lake points. Also caught a few flipping the reeds leading into spawning pockets. I've never been there before but liked the lake.

Went today. Water temps in the lower 60's. Main lake still dirty. All our fish were small. Many biting short. The mild front messed things up. On good days dark flukes in the shallows have been the key. Good luck.

Went out last Sunday and destroyed em on Houdini colored Super Flukes, in the back of creeks and coves in the shallows 18" - 3ft.

The sand color on the bottom of the fluke is almsot the same as the water color, all you see is a red flash when working the fluke, they were just killing it. Caught 27 bass, 6lbs being the biggest.

Ended up getting a bunch on rattle traps and chartreuse spinnerbaits in about 5ft of water. Caught them pretty consistently all day, but we never got one that was over 2lbs.
