For those of you who don't know, the lake in Tyler State Park has water that clear. Lake Hawkins used to be the same way.

nice.. If the picture were a little bigger and a little clearer, I'd have stolen it for my background picture on my puter.

The lake is a community lake in North Dallas called Twin Lakes. It is on Campbell Rd and is open to the public for fishing so long as every one respects the lake, the fish and local property. (It's called twin lakes because there are two of them. One on each side of Campbell.) The original pic is 3mb but I had to resize it to fit the posting requirements for this site.

If you like the pic and want it for wall paper your free to use it.

Ohh. One more thing. A local man told my brother there where a lot of really big large mouths weighing upwards to 8 lbs. When asked how he knew this he replied that he was the one to put them in there.

There is a picture of one of the lakes in the ponds and local lakes section of the TFF.

Cool pic!

Never had any luck at those ponds. Heard that they were drained a few years back, thus putting an end to all the good bass there. Could be wrong about that.

Went there a few days ago and had some good luck. Just dead stick the bait on the beds and let it sit. I would even set my bait on the bed, put my rod down, pick up my other rod and fish with it until the bass would get mad enough to try to remove the bait off the bed. Literally let it sit for upwards of 1 or 2 minutes and they will finally hit it.

Also, it was drained a while back and they put all the rock in around the banks. Not real sure how the fish have repopulated so quickly but I'm not complaining!!

Nice, nothing better than watching a bass in their own element, do what they do best. EAT!
