i did a real number on my steering, broke something when taking the lower unit off to replace impeller. the motor falls freely to the right & won't go any past center to the left. anyone know a good mechanic in west texas? i just thought i could do mechanical stuff!

there's a place on s. treadway that sells a few boats...may be worth your while to stop in there and ask if they know of anybody. sandy creek marina in brekenridge may jst be your best bet tho. surely there's got to be some guy working out of his garage somewhere around the lake(tht's pretty good). i know i'm gonna have to drive all over the world to get mine worked to if it ever needs it.

I saw an ad on craigslist for a "boat doctor" in abilene, claims to be a marine mechainc, dont know if you wanted to check into that. Im not vouching for him by any means, just saw it on there!
