Alright so i've heard that when the wind is comming out of the east that the fish bite the least, and every time i've gone fishing when the east wind was blowing I have never done too well. what are y'alls oppinions on this?

I agree with it. An east wind in these parts usually accompanies the passing of a cool/cold front, where the wind blows hard out of the south and west pre-front, then north during and post passage of the front, then east when the front has cleared the area and the big blue H moves in, then gradually back to the prevailing direction, which is SSE for most of the lakes I fish.

If we're talking about largemouths, especially Floridas, post frontal conditions are the toughest.

Same here Bassinamped, "out of the East, they bite the least" has been my experience too, even in stock tanks.

I always thought that until a few weeks ago. East wind was blowing in. I fished the windy points and had one of my best days in months. All day I thought how weird it was. I'm not sure what was different about that day?

Open your eyes & look within, are you satisfied with the life youre living.

No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life. Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs.

I think it's bogus. Sure, east winds signify the passing of a front and the onset of high pressure. Typcially those are the tougher days for fishing, but that doesn't mean they don't bite. It just means you have to make adjustments. It's not that fish bite the least, they just set up differently and it has more to do with the bait fish than the bass.

You can never go by the books...... some of mt best days were with an east wind. If your not getting bit, change tour pattern, Drink a Beer, cast and don't pay attention and you will all ways miss one!!......
