I saw some people like to use range cubes for chum, and I've decided this is what I'm going to use for spring break because I dont think I have time to make the milo stuff now. But how do yall use the range cubes? Just toss them out there, crush them up, add water in a bucket? Thanks

Buy the higher protein one's if you can, They tend to sink
where as some of the cheap ones have a knack of floating off,
Happy fishing, fish Jerry R.

They also work well fr crappie sometimes as we have thrown em in boat docks while fishing for them every now and then and caught some nice ones (only about 3-5 at a time though) But ya if you catfishing just toss a few handfulls out and scatter em

Okay thanks, because the cove where I stay I think will have crappie in it, and I'll put some out in the lake for catfish

Cubes take about 24 hours to start getting soft ! They are great if you have a few days to fish. Other than that you might as well try to knock the fish out with them !

Bull Corn on that. I've tossed Range cube out and fished that hole and caught channels and blues with it in their guts.

I got a 50# bag of All Natural Protein Breeder Cubes (20%) at Atwoods today. (Each cube is about the size of a roll of pennies.) Filled a 5-gal bucket 1/2 full and covered the cubes with water. They started dissolving immediately. After 30 minutes, the bucket looks like it's filled with diarrhea. Those cubes completely dissolved into the water in 30 minutes!

+1 only takes a few minutes for them to start working. If you wait 24 hours the cubes would be dissolved and gone.

I usually fish Shad and prepared bait like Secret 7 or DK when I throw out cube.
