Welp, I went out there. It's like a cemetery or something. Everything's dead (trees and brush that is). There's no movement from ANYTHING in the water. I guess they're down deep get'n it on and then we'll see some spawn bass.

Whimpering about boaters going through on plane. Do bank fishermen expect us to use are trolling motors. Most of the time Im in my kayak out there and if a boat comes by and backs off the throttle it makes a bigger wave than if they just shot by, I do appreciate the courtesy. On the other hand sometimes I take the bass boat, if I slowed down for every bank fisherman it would take forever to get up the river + not to sound like a doosh but Im not looking for bank fisherman Im looking at the water for trees and what not. Just so you guys understand were people are coming from their not doing it to be rude. I think there is somekind of mix up about the plane thang. I mentioned to one fellow about going through Denton Creek on plane and thought that was a little crazy for two reasons; #1: Denton Creek may be be 50 feet from one side to the other in some spots. #2: If I am on my toon or in my yak and some yahoo decides to go through a 50 foot area on plane and I just happen to be in that 50 foot area, I aint going to be happy go lucky anymore. How would you feel if I decided to jump in my car and haul some serious a$$ through your neighborhood with your kids playing in the street? I could care less what you do when I setting on the bank, course if you hit something and I see you backstroking, I'm probably going to take some pics before I offer to help....

About the boats...be careful is all. Lots of people coming and going on the water.
About the fish....was there on Sunday in the rain. The fish are definitely there. Caught 10. Tried a lot of things, but a pink headed jig with a white curly was the only thing that worked. Added a spinner and that seemed to help. I was fishing kindof fast on toward the top. Bite was kindof light sometimes. Will be back this week.
Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, he'll be gone every weekend.

Went out today, caught nothing. threw just about everything before I had to go to my sons track meet. Couldn't get a hit on my go to bait! One fellow came by in a bass boat, said caught one. He was nice enough to show it to me. It looked like it would go 4 to 5 lb.s. Said he caught it on a Norman crank bait. I was smart enough not to ask where!

I fish out of my boat house, but can give bank fishing reports for McPherson Slough as I see everyone coming and going. It has been really slow for bank fisherman there lately. In a couple hours I will see a dozen or more fisherman come try and leave without bites. Friday night was first time I saw anything caught off the banks and it was a couple Crappie. They were slowly picking up in the boat house (17 ft. water) until this front Friday night, no bites at all this morning. Had been a couple keepers an hour, I expect it to be decent in 1-2 weeks. That semi-submerged brush should be really good for bank fisherman when it warms up a little.
