Any ideas as to where we can go and get into some striper action this weekend at Texoma. We will be fishing from kayaks. I was thinking about the area around Mill Creek Marina, the river channel is pretty close. How is the striper fishing in that area? Any other suggestions as to good spots for kayaks, meaning not to far to paddle to find some good striper fishing. Thanks for any help.

Ya got a livewell on that thing? If you got 300' of anchor rope and a 10lb forsyth hook and chain I'd suggest the 40' river ledges LOL!!! Dang smiley gremlins won't show!!!
In the Mill Creek area I'd throw topwaters and sassyshads in less than 5-10' maybe 20' at most water along the east bank from the creek junction in back of the marina all way past the no wake bouy out and to east along the main river channel. Or put in at Eisenhower and do exactly the same thing ...down the east bank past the buoy....yadda yadda. The cool front may put them down a little but more early is usually more better... and 6am till? is primetime to already be in place chunkin' and windin'. From the dam site ramps go west and do the same thing. Personally this time of year I like almost anything east better than west.

We'll be up there all weekend. I'll look for you. I would say try the OK banks along Soldier Creek area. I've fished that area in a kayak..it all depends on the direction of the wind.

Kayaks, Texoma??? What does the DB stand for?? DumbBell?? Just kidding!! laugh laugh laugh

If I were going to try something like this, I'd put in up near the dam just as close to day break as you are allowed to launch one of those yaks, and chunk topwaters on all the shore line going back north and west from the damsite ramp to the mouth of Eisenhower, or Eisenhower east if you put in at Eisehower like Ron suggests.

I may be wrong but I think this northerly breeze will have them up on the Texas shore line come daylight. But, that fishing will only last a while (7:30 - 8:00 at the latest) if it dawns clear....Which I think it is supposed to.

But, watch out, because Saturday morning, and being that it's Lake Texoma, in combination with a whole lot of boats that kick up a much higher wake than a yak does....Means you could very likely be in for a wild yak ride!!! Good luck.
