Ok, I know it isn't really fishing, but I just found out that I have an 8 year old son. One of his interests is fishing and I want to take him some where on his first trip that I know he will be successful and it is something my dad did for me when I was a kid. Does anyone know of a catfish farm near Houston? Thanks in advance for your help!

can't help but welcome aboard

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I know if you go on the TPWD site they have a section called community fishing, you could find local stocked ponds down there
