Taking family trip to fork next weekend.... actually plan on crappie fishing there (what, go to fork and crappie fish in March!). First time crappie fishing there, Any word on are the fish moving up shallow in numbers? ANY suggestions on the type of structure / areas to look for would be appreciated.

Better stay away from the banks, the bass fishermen own them in March & April.

If its windy , tie a pillow to your head and fish the bridges..
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

My buddy and I have been wearing them out despite everyone elses reports of tough fishing!! Weve been pitching parallel to bridge cross members and just letting the jigs fall. They are suspended and very aggressive. We pulled 12 nice ones off one cross member that had a minnow fisherman on it for over an hour!! Tomato seed seems to be the best color. Good luck!

Try a slip bobber and with a small white roadrunner and move slow thru the shallows with a creek near by. They start moving around now so some will be shallow mostly big ones too.
