Loc: Dallas, TX We are planning a quick weekend trip to Galveston this weekend. We have only been one other time. We didnt have too much luck on finding good bank fishing. I know no one wants to give up thier spots but could you please give us a couple of ideas on places to fish we do not have a boat so piers and bank is all we can do. We fish for the fun of it so it doesnt matter what we are catching.
Also any tips on best types of bait, and what's biting is appreciated as well.

Thanks!!!

Rock Groins along the Seawall. Use dead shrimp on a Carolina rig in the breaking waves and you'll catch a variety of fish.

Hey GarFish,

I'm planning on going up there on Monday. I have no ideas where Rock Groins along the Seawall might be. Where would I find that on a map?

Thx

If you're on the seawall ... you can't miss them.

They are the rock 'piers' that extend out.

they are all along the seawall. Just pick one out and go.

The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

People has been filling there coolers with good size whiting all along the beach front. Those fish are a no brainer and easy to cacth. They will feed in any condition.Buy some fresh dead shrimp and fish the bottom. You might even get lucky and pick up a few trout, pompano, black drum, flounder, and redfish.Live shrimp also work well and best for all type of fish.
