I tied up some bigger jigs for the hybrids. Caught the [censored] out of them till I broke them all off. So I switched to my crappie minnows I had left, I had a couple big ones mixed in and pulled two of them out with those. But yes that was me in the blue boat near the tracks. I floated all the way to 78 and caught fish everywhere! Didn't start kepping till I got back to the dam though.... A guy from the forum was talking to me this morning, and I gave him one of the jigs I tied for the stripers, and he caught a limit too. I caught all the drum on the jigs too. They are really good eating! They are just like the saltwater black drum. I like them way better than sandies and hybrids..... - way better!

I am serious. You just have to get over the rib cage. White meat. And where you catch one, there Are more. Look them up. They are almost exactly like a black drum saltwater.... Taste the same too

Youre right Carey. Those drum are very good eatin. Theres a deep hole by the feeder just upstream from 78 and when the waters up those things are stacked in there like chord wood. I was gonna check out that hole today but got caught up on sandies below the 78 dam. They were very tempting, haha. Took a limit and called it a day. Even caught a keeper blacknose crappie. Things are starting to look up!

I have always thought those drum looked clean. Very much like the saltwater drum. I may give 'em a try. I catch them all the time. They hit and fight hard.
And Perry, I know where you fished yesterday. LOL
