A 'gill a large as you're claiming would easily be a new state record, which currently is 2.02 lbs, 12.50 in. long.

wow well i caught a blue gill that weighed at 2.06 lbs but it was on a golfcourse.

Was down there a couple of years ago on my way to E-rock, stopped in checking the park out and saw a kid at one the fishing docks and he had a few very large gills (way above average),I fish Fairfield alot and know what above average look like and these were in the neighborhood. I believe I see a road trip in my future.
