Take a cast net and catch your own bait. Generally, shrimp and especially dead shrimp fished in the surf only catch trash fish or baitfish. You're better off with live bait or cut bait.

Very nice video, that 2nd pic does more justice, the first looked like the tent was right in the middle of the high road, only posted that because i see it all the time. Going down this weekend, hopefully with the same success. The end of that video looked to be pretty far down, thinking of going all the way to the jetty, if that was as far as i think let me know, so i know it wont be a waste of time going that far.

Big Shell is poppin in a big way, lots of reds, and yes lots of whiting, biggest whiting i've ever seen, caught them all the way down to the jetty.

Thanks for the report leaving on Sunday for 4 days hope to catch lots of fish and the big shark will give report when I get back.
