Jersey Dan and I fished fork the last two days. Was on the water at sunrise saturday and fished until dark. THen put in a couple of hours today. We caught a couple fish. I saw some people did very well. I am just wondering who all struggled like myself.

2 small fish in five hours for me yesterday. Snuck out for a couple hours today and blanked.

It was tough and you had to find the warmer water. We found some water no one else was messing with that looked like chocolate milk and it saved our day. Pretty much had it all to ourselves.

Fished Bobcat Cove, White Oak (Right Finger), and Brier Branch. Nothing at all. Went to Quitman in the afternoon to try to get away from some of the boats. No luck there either. Second worst day of the month to fish according to BASS solunar calendar.

My partner and I caught a little over 20 Saturday with the biggest being 6 1/2 lbs. We primarily fished the North End of the lake in the back of a few creeks throwing traps and chatterbaits. All fish came within a 3 hour window from 10am-1pm. They were paired up as we were catching the buck bass first and then casting to the same spot and catching the female. Looks as if the spawn is about to go full swing in the next 2 weeks.

I fished Fri & Sat. Fri was tough but we had one 7lb and 8 others to 5 1/2 lbs. Fishing traps in the ditches close to spawning flats in the backs of creeks. Had to find grass on bottom and just bareley pop it out. Sat was great one 8lb lost a bigger one on traps. Then it warmed up and you the big fish stopped but the 1 to 4 lb fish moved in big time, Shakey heads and drop shots on the flats away from creek channels. The whole key is fish slow slow slow. The fish are there and ready to eat. Good luck

It was one of those weird weekends. My partner and I fished Friday in separate boats and he caught one fish and I zerod. Saturday we fished together and had ~25. I talked to folks Saturday that had 0 or 1 fish and another boat that had ~60.

I never really got goin....once I realized that it was such a slow bite I just ran the lake and checked out water all over the place. I went all over the the north west arm from 515 bridge up birch, boardtree, spring creek, johnson creeek, huak lake creek, garret and lake fork creek, checkin grass and temp sat.. I went to north east arm from bell to long and then all the way back up glade on sunday. When the rain started I was a mile or so up glade creek and found 59* water. It was fun just checkin spots and talking to other fishermen. Great wknd on the water even though I got skunked. I found some water deep into some creeks that will be producing heavily in the next few weeks. For those of you who kept chunkin and windin and caught some fish well done...it was tough out there.

I was one of the hundred or so boats up in Glade Saturday. Caught one 2-lb buck bass on a fluke. Di dmanage to get some of the floating weeds stuck in my intake and burned up the upper powerhead. Sigh... no fishing for a while until Sartin works on the 20 or so other boats that came in Saturday ahead of mine. frown

Saturday, Like TommyC we caught fish.. Not like 'They' did(congrats OZ&Tom) on an 11-lb+ string in Media.
I was over run with BIG slot fish, that weren't there when prefishing Friday, nice unders then.. They were smashing a 1/4 oz trap.. One of the most fun days for big fish in a while, not good during a tournament--but MAN--I absolutely was owned a couple of times, them fish pull hard. grin cheers grin

I like aloneness, don't want to get into the circus in Glade.. You guys can have it...

Well don't feel like the lone ranger. We fished from 8-4 on saturday and only caught 5 fish. saw a few caught in the area i was in, but about the same as us. i don't think i talked to anyone that had caught more than about 10.

Me and my partner Hard Work'in Harrold, fished Media Sat. it was very tough! We had 2 unders @ 2.25 lbs. and 3 slot fish up to 5 lbs. We were very supprised because last week we were on some nice fish in the same area that we fished in the tournament! They just didnt seem to be there on Sat.

Redskeeter,
We never even got close to Glade or anything up there...You don't need to do that to win on Fork...You just have to find a pile of fish and make them bite. Friday we ruled out a bunch of water and found the right areas to work and it paid off for us...So close to a win which I really was hoping for...The trap bite was berry berry good to me smile
