Yeah I've been looking around all the websites. Tracker is just the one that I ran into this. I think I'm gonna take some of the advice though about shopping used. Thanks everybody.
Though, I've never heard that about mercury outboards. I've never heard anyone complain about them until now...

I love my little pro16, but you can't take it out in the wind. It is too narrow across the beam. You also have to drive the boat from the center when you are alone. This boat will go anywhere though and is very easy to handle by yourself.

The Pro 16 is all welded. It is priced as it is to be an entry level boat. It does not have a lot of fancy to it, but what there is is well done. Look at it and if it fits your needs then know you have a good product. If you need or want more then look for that.
The little pro 16 is just a neat reliable little fishing rig for a good price that does not pretend to be anything more.

I've got a 17x 54 grizzly, a 2002. Got a 2001 50hp Merc on the back. It moves perty good. Like Hopedale said, I had to have a few welds redone, but I am hard on my boat. A few good stumps, a couple oyster reefs, sand bar and some rough a$$ back roads, the boat takes a beating. All in all it has been a good boat. Been running it for about 2 years now and I can't complain. Rus perty shallow, not so much on a hard wind though. Stable, roomy, durable, affordable. Its a pain in the but in the wind though. I would probably buy another. I think I would go with a tunnel hull 18' cc.

If I fished for money.........I'd be broke.

In a world of compromise.....Some don't.

I purchased a clean used Alumacraft 1650 tunnel hull fully loaded with all of the goodies and a Yamaha 50HP with only 30 hours on it. Paid 6k for it all. Used boats are absolutely the way to go. I was set to buy a brand new boat just like the one I got and it priced out at over 16K fully loaded like the one I found. Just food for thought.

I was looking to get a Pro 16 as well, but with my credit I was gonna have to pay 20% down and 200.00 a month for 5 yrs. I was told you had to have extremely good credit to get the 10% down deal. I took my 2500.00 and bought a bass boat off TFF. No down payment and no monthly payments. Paid for. Used it this past Saturday and Sunday and it did perfect. No complaints what-so-ever.

Can't put enough horsepower on that boat. Look at a used tracker 170 with a 50 hp motor.

Dont worry about buying new either. I went through this decision last year and i went new with a Tracker PT 170. People talk about depreciation when buying new. Who cares if your gonna keep the boat a long time. I will take the warranty and the comfort of knowing that i am the only one that has driven this boat over saving money on a used POS. Believe me, i looked for a used boat in the size and type that i wanted and couldnt find anything but crappy 20 year old boats with torn seats. You can find great deals on big glass bassboats that are used and in great condition, but when you are talking about smaller aluminum boats, most people hang on to these and keep them.
