Fished with my regulars Carol, JoAnn, and Pete of Bellaire. Bite started hot, then slowed, then picked back up. Water temps are really rising with these warm days and the lake being 1-2 foot low, temps now approaching 70 degrees all over the lake, and that effects the bite.

Fish are heavy with eggs, which means everyday they are acting different, going from pre spawn to spawn, which effects the bite.

Ended the day with 32 nice fish, a few 5#ers in the mix.

Fish were 4-12 foot deep, under corks, with SureShot punch bait.

Great job! When does the fishing there start to taper off? Or does it? I want to go back.

I think you should hurry back. It might taper very, very soon, and pick back up June 1. But Somerville and Gibbons Creek are just heating up for the next two months
