RC was incredible on Thursday. We found the boat show in front of Pelican Island. My son (who is five) caught 14 fish on his own. We started with a slab and a crappie jig tied above it. Many fish. Then the fish came up, so we threw Rat-L-Traps (chartreuse and silver). We caught one 20 inch hybrid, an 18 inch striper, and a limit of white bass. Including the non-keepers, we caught 42 fish. The weather was perfect and the lake was like glass. It was a terrific way to spend a day with my kiddo.

I think we were out there by BUcaster on Thursday. I took my son with me on his 26th. birthday. We did not leave Ennis until 1pm & was back at 4:15 with 38 magnum whites. I was sure impressed with the way BUcasters son handled himself on the water. We probably should have stayed for the hybrids at sunset, but it was his birthday & we had to get home to watch his Aggies. We had caught 9 the previous 2 evenings to 8 lb. Only fishing the second shift this week because the kids home from college keeping me up late.

Were you guys in the center console? I think we crossed paths around 4PM.
