We fished pines also in the xtreme tourny, fish wasnt the problem the size was. I fished friday by myself at the 155 bridge river channel and caught lots of small black crappie. Saturday we decided to go just a little further south of the brdge and fish the river for a quick 7 fish limit and go looking for white crappie. Never found any white's, so ended up down south for more of the cookie cutter blackies. Great weather and I always love fishing that lake. I have caught and seen Huge Fish come out of there in April.
On a side note I will have to say that those Bass Fisherman are rudest people on earth, coming on plane within 10 yrds of me all day long at the bridge and any where in the river . Unbelieveable! I thought it was a law you slow down at any bridge(marker bouy or not).
Crazy angler did you find whites up shallow? Cant wait till April.

+1 on the bass fisherman! We had one get so close we could feel the spray off his motor! Just imagine, if one of naures freak accidents happened and a steering cable broke running that fast that close to a large number of boats! Really dangerous if u ask me! But I guess there defense would be to not fish in the boat lane!

Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

crappiecrzy,
That might work, but the problem would be that I would run out of flares! I bet we had 10 to 15 bass boats blaze past us at 70 to 75 mph. yesterday! Thats ok though we were catching lots of crappie, and visiting with some goods fishing around us!

One of these days I will have to go fish that lake.
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.
