welcome I don't know which state you live in. Every state is different. I believe in Oklahoma you have to have an anchor. Most states require a paddle. Throw cushion. If out after sunset or before sunrise navigational lights. Not required but is a good idea-First aid kit, tool kit, and jumper cables.

You need a throw type flotation device, either a ring type or a USCG approved seat cushion

All the above and depending on which lake, Like Falcon or Amisted, where US Coast guard has jurisdiction. You need a 50ft. rope tyed to the throw devise and must not be wrapped or inside a closed compartment.

Visual Distress Signals, Anchors and Line, Bright flashlight or searchlight, Sound-producing device, paddle or oar, First Aid Kit, Sunscreen, Small Tools, Communication back to land, and a fish till the boat is full attitude. bannana2
