Hey Guys we are taking off here from Colorado on March 14 to Choke also going to fish Amistad, I dont want to bring my whole garage so was just looking for some help on Colors & type of baits to load up. Here is what I am planing.

Beavers
Jigs
Cranks
Spinner baits
Senko's
Jerk baits
Chatterbaits
Lizards

Leaving all the small stuff like tubes & dropshot at home. Thank you for any input guys.

Bring your heavy tackle for Choke. The water has some color as compared to Amistad. Choke has plenty of trees and brush for them to wrap you up in. Amistad on the other hand is deep, clear, and rocky. Completely different from Choke. Sometimes smaller line will help there. Many fish are caught on light line drop shotting. But be ready for a big one in either lake.
