Hey I dont know anything about that lake but they definately arent scattered. I bet if you do find them they'll be a big ole herd of them. Let me ask you this. Did you find any shad? They wont be too far from the bait fish. Next time try concentrating more on the bait fish than structure. I would look near known spawning areas and back off into a little deeper water near by, but look for the shad. If that dont work you may have to wait till you see their fins sticking out of the water. Just kidding but keep looking and you'll put a pattern together if you slow down and out think them. I hope this kinda helps.

Before you get to steel island there is a point on the right, there is a good drop off there. Fish it and follow the bank . This is a good spot in the spring. As it warms up Bean creek will be a killer.Good Luck.

bridgeport can be challenging this time of year (prespawn). The one thing i can tell you (gees, i hope this is not a mistake) i have NEVER been skunked fishing the 2nd and 3rd bridge pilons from the east end where the creek channel runs. if all the other places fail, i can usually count on atleast a few keepers in that spot!

thanks for the help guys! i fished those pilons hookem horns and i went up beans creek also. there is so much flooded weeds and grass i think they were still spread out.and i think the point that cods is talking about is "give it an hour point". i think i was gust fishing to shallow to early. i guess during pre-spawn they are in a feeding frenzy? i allways hunt for bait and fish where the bait is i guess i just got to trigger happy going up shallow.
