13.08 on left and 9.51 on right. Both on the Louisiana side were certified and released and fiberglass replicas for both anglers thanks to Bass Life.

Love that lake cant get anyone to go out there with me much less our local club I don't see why either. Texas fishing license is good all the way to the dam on the LA side. LA. license is only good to the Highway 43 bridge at Karnak.

Thats an awesome lake. You think its fun this time of year you otta try it in late December around the full moon when the air temp is hovering around 20, with a topwater. Texas side would have got you a sharelunker on the 13+ and a replica mount as well. Its awesome that you let them go. Not many people would.

One Feb., about 12 years ago, I saw a couple of tournament guys weigh in a 45# stringer at Kool Point Marina on the Louisiana side. It was amazing! Just 5 huge fish!!

There is a local organization in NW LA called Bass Life that pays either all or part of the replica if the fish is certified and release alive. Its funded by local anglers via a DU style banquet. I think they pay 75% for a 9 and 100% for anything over 10? It starts paying 50% at 8. Good organization and local.

Well Hell! I sold my boat to a buddy and am boatless, Were Y'all want to meet? I'll have to ride with someone though. How about the first weekend in April? You split gas and lodging with me and we'll fish that little slough up in the river Or where-ever else you want to run to. Pinesjunkie - you up for a trip?
