I have some vids I took at Emma Long as well, but they're not for public posting.

This is a subtle hint to get down there asap to everyone.

LOL I find it funny how you treated that bass like A carp. That joker would have been great on the grill. trash fish the other other white meat. lol

sure thing... if I lived anywhere near there.. I'd be fishin there all the time! great place to have a long session...

We had that crazy session there last year around last week of April... weather was warm enough I remember... we just slept on a mat under one of those trees without any blanket at all.. no bugs.. overnight wearing shorts and a long sleeve tshirt only.. hehehe

Awesome vids, I've only ever seen stills of the legendary Emma, you captured it well. I also can't wait to finally visit that place.

yeah.. I'll be fishing near Emma Long next week.. friends and I have rented a vacation house right on the water just around the bend from Emma.. looks like I'll be able to fish off of a boathouse/dock they have there.

hopefully action will pick up.. but all I want this year is to catch some nice buffs... we caught nothing but carp (and that rogue bass) the last time. Would love to hold up a 50+ lb buff, if I can hold one up! haha

Danny you should be able to do some good there. The water is starting to warm up and the fishing should be steadily improvong.

yeah.. come to think of it.. it was kinda funny... almost didn't know what to do with that bass.. hahaha. Long time ago, I would've been thrilled to catch a 6-7 lb bass... but this time.. I was just intrigued it went for maize.. haha

Danny, good luck in Austin. Hope you get a buff, cuz there ain't none out here. With luck the blue bonnets might be in bloom. It's been a wet winter this year, they should put on quite a show this spring.

I'm heading out that way the first week of June. Probably going to bring a flyrod and the gar flies Bret gave me last year. They don't have any of them out here either.

hey chris, thanks for the heads up. Actually, now that you mentioned it, I do remember seeing one swimming in the water last time I was there.

john: yeah, hope to fishing with you soon at Quail or Castaic!
