I went out this afternoon checking water temps. I found some as warm as 60 degrees in the back of one cove, but got onto some fish in 58 degree. I caught 14 with the biggest 3 weighing 2.4,2.3,2.0 with several more in the 1.5 range. They came out of 2' of water on a Jigum jig under a slip cork. This has to be my favorite way to catch fish; long cast and then stop and go retrieve. They put up such a good fight when you hook em shallow on a long cast. Steve

Nice work Steve! I hope they are biting that good next week at my Dads place at Cypress Springs. I picked up some of the new Thill 'Crappie Cork' slip corks at Academy that are each designed for different weight jigs, hope they work: Thill Crappie Cork Ronnie
