You'll love it yv_fish. The quick curing process rocks. The best part is that it can be applied around the house for other stuff and not just fly tying. I've made a few shrimp and crawdad/fish pattern with it and they turned out nicely. Can't wait to personally use the flies for saltys and bass.
I really need to order and try out the flexible goo.

Central area. I like the Missouri River and its tributaries. My dream float is the Smith River, seen pics and boy is it a gorgeous river with beautiful wild trout. It's like a lottery system to get a permit to float the darn thing though. The Yellowstone River is only a little over 2 hrs away and I plan on doing a float trip there as well this summer/fall.
I've tyed some scud pattern using that CCG and it works just fine. I find it even easier to use CCG now than tying scuds with thinskin type material. Did you order the flexible goo? I think the flexible will rock most shrimp pattern.

Been to MT twice. It is beautiful. Fished the Flathead and the Swan. Trying to plan trip for summer.
I'm looking forward to tying some salty flies. Planning on hitting coast a few times this summer. Surf anf piers. The durability for salt is gonna be great.

Let me know if you're ever near the central area and I'll show you some nice water. I agree with CCG adding durability for salty flies. That's it man, I'm getting me some of them flexible goo. Here is another application I tried the other night for a trout pattern that I found from another forum. Apparently umpqua came up with this pattern but again, CCG made it even easier. I added my own twist to it. The closet trout fans here might appreciate it. The Radical Caddis top view bottom view side view I'm going to wait for the flexible goo and I'll see if I can come up with a crab pattern for the salty fins. That ought to be fun.

Very nice. I'll post my first fly with ccg. Gonna go with a surf candy at first. Seems like a safe fly to start with.

Have fun yv_fish and looking forward to your first effort. It takes a few go around but you'll figure it out pretty quick. I'm still playing with CCG and tinkering with my Stoner Shrimp. This is the latest pattern, a much much easier and simple pattern with less materials but still does the job in my opinion. It's still evolving. Stoner Shrimp - another version.

Is the ccg runny? Do you have to work quickly? Is that multiple layers of ccg on shrimp?

Horn, great flies as usual. Keep up the good work. I haven't tied anything lately.
