Ok I just bought a new kayak (Tarpon 12) and am thinking about trying the river that runs under Western Center (Fort Worth) next to the apartments and behind all the restaurants. I think it runs to the golf course. I spend most my time on the Brazos but this is so close to my house I think I have to give it a try when it warms up. Anybody ever tried it?

I've seen a few bank people but no floating craft.

I don't have all the answers, but I'm a quick learner!

yeah me too. I wonder if there are places people can't bank fish? I'll post if I ever make it down there.

Just be careful with construction debris in the water. Last time I was locating some sewer lines I noticed some rebar, bricks and other construction trash. Also keep an eye on the snakes!

its pretty good. i hear the golf course hold some big carp. fished it a lot from the bank and caught a bunch of Blacks, Suns, Carp, & Rocks. saw some cats and heard some guys catchem behind dennys. was chased twice by snakes between Beach & Haltom Rd. id do it again. just paddle really fast or smackem on the head with your paddle. it stuns em & sometimes kills em!

does the river actually run up in to the golf course. Maybe some of those ponds overflow in to it?
