How many are in the club? When are you all fishing? Grapevine angelers will be out there Saturday and Sunday.

I haven't been in a while but if I was going there this weekend. I would start at the point on the right hand side of the lake just before you get to the bridge on the North end of the Main Lake and work my way to the bridge. I don't know what the alligator grass looks like LOL Wish it was still reeds.

Good Luck

Weekender has a good plan.spinnerbaits ...I dont fish that lake anymore so ill tell you one of my best honeyholes. The big point going up north splits to the left and right.Going right youll get into lots of stumps as mentioned by weekender. But if you go left the stumps seen arent to many.At approx. 9 foot at the mouth ,maybe up into that arm a liitle ways is a pretty large stump/laying down somewhat its roughly in the middle of the bay.Should hold some fish on and off during the day.Hope this helps, was a secret spot of mine.GL

There must be some really top secret spots in that lake. I've fished maybe three club tournaments over the years up there. Every time there's been one guy who caught a pretty good sack of fish and everyone else had very little.

Obviously my problem was I didn't know the secrets!

No secret, just a gar hole. Seriously I hate that lake. I know guys that catch them there every time but I can't. Right now it's pretty easy but in the summer it's very, very tough for me.

Great little lake...have not been there in several months...a white spinnerbait, a LF ring fry in pumpkin on a Texas or a c-rig, and a red bug baby hog or lizard on the same is what I would throw and I would be looking shallow later in the day

I haven't been on Winnsboro in a long time. Last time I went all the wonderful reeds were replaced by alligator grass or whatever that hycinth stuff is and I haven't been back. I used to go to that lake 10 to 12 times a year especially in the early spawn.. Don't be afraid of those wonderful shallow flats on the extreme north end of the lake if you take the big cove to the right way up the lake from the ramp you can run the right hand bank but be careful once you make that right and get into that cove a ways. Lots of bass in that creek especially when it turns back to the left. Good Luck all

What time you guys weighing in? Grapevine anglers is at 3:00pm.

Evan fishing has been tough out there. I didn't get a bite last week but the water was 45 degrees when we launched. Hoping for some improvement this weekend.

By the way guys the summer time bite is off the hook there. I will say you can catch 30-50 fish a day out there. Might be some small ones in there too but at least you are catching some.
