Does anyone know anything about the fishing at Lake Livingston Dam? Where to fish, if the fishing is good, How much water they are letting out of the dam? Looking to do some white bass fishing.

Ditt,

Welcome to the forum. I haven't been down there in about a month. The water came up about 20 ft since that time. It is slowly receeding but the boat ramp may have debris around it/on it. You can call Browder's Marina/store to check if launching or even fishing from the bank is open right now.

I would wait about a wk. but it looks like a bit more rain next Friday/Sat. They might open up some more gates again.

Look on the Trinity River Authority Data website and you can see how much is being released and how much is comin down the river from up north. They are releasing over 30,000 cfs now.

Went to the dam last Saturday 2/20/10 to take a look. There were no boat ramp. The water had came all the way up the hills where the cars normally park.Very dangerous to fish.Current is very strong. Some one can get swept away real fast if fallen into the water.
