Before you spend your $3000... find the best advertised price you can for your chosen unit and then let me know. I will see if I can get you a better deal before you buy at fishfinderking. www.fishfinderking.cominfo@fishfinderking.com

$3K's for a fish finder? That's almost as much as my boat!

Just as a note to those that have been to www.fishfinderking.com and checked out the pricing. The pricing that you see might be the MAP (minimum advertized price). This means that the price you actually pay might in fact be a lot less than the advertized price. Here is what you need to do to get the best price possible out of us. Find a unit that you like, email us via the website and we will see what we can do to get you the best price available. If you have found a good advertized price else where, let us know and we will try and beat it for you. Put us to the test and challenge us to give you the best price! I know that I like to get a great deal which is why we are prepared to offer you great deals on all fishfinders.

To answer your question Humminbird 1197. My experience with mine was not as good as most. My screen locked last summer. Made the call with a minimum wait. Sent the unit in, I think it was $20. Unit repaired and returned in less than a week. Unit locked-up again, made the call, shipped on their dime. Unit repaired and returned less than a week and it locked up again. The unit shipped on their dime and they sent me a totally new unit, again less than a week. I realize I was down three weeks and three trips to Fed-Ex but STUFF HAPPENS even with the best products. Humminbird handled the problem fast and in a professional manner. Would I buy another Humminbird product, sure would because I know they will be there if I need them. Good luck on your purchase. Jim
