Shallow Carp,
I'm glad you accepted my invitation in the spirt of fun and raising money for our brave warriors. I was not sure of your intent with the Wannabe referance. Such meaning's are hard to interpet in the internet environment. I hope you enjoy your free trip and new name, as I plan to take my rod home safely tucked under my trench coat. I see you are a friend of Scott, having fished together several times before. This might give you a slight advantage, but I'm confident my experince will prevail. I open to any reasonable contest rules and method of determining the winner. I plan on taking a vacation day for this day of fun, so I'm open to any date as long as I can give my staff proper notice.

DT

DT,
I always prefer to do trips during the week. Boat traffic becomes a problem on the weekends. I'll give both of you a fair shake and there are a few contest rules I am going to enforce to keep it fair. (Ex. Trading casting positions on the boat, No dynamite allowed, etc.) I'll also give a fishing report prior to the event so both of you will know what to expect. (water depth, flies, etc.) I'll not respond to any emails or PM's from either of you about this contest. All communications must be made under this topic. That way both of you have the same info. I would suggest a big two fish and the most fish for the contest. With the biggest fish being the tie breaker. For some strange reason the customer that tips the best usually catches the most fish. rolfmao

Dang, I'm excited and I'm not even in the contest. banana

Trading casting positions on the boat, sounds fair; No dynamite allowed, sounds....NO DYNAMITE?! What The F....?! (firecracker)

Are the bookies in Vegas giving any odds yet?

When do tickets go on sale? Spectators could raise lots of money.

And, seriously, do not forget t-shirts. You know, Project Healing Waters could turn this into a BFFD, a load of fun could be had and a lot of money raised for charity.

But all else aside, we will need t-shirts.

Hey, my boat rat wants to volunteer as the official referee of this event. He swears that he will be impartial, but I think he just wants to meet Scott's racoon....

Could that be the opening battle? Rat vs Raccoon...two varmints enter...one varmint leaves.

I like that idea, but since Scott's boat has indoor plumbing I don't think either of the varmints will be willing to leave...

Let's make it a reality fishing show. A bunch of us will start out but will get voted out until its down to LHD and DT. I myself am willing to fish for only the first three or four episodes before taking a dive....

Robin, you are just asking for a congressional investigation.

As long as I get points on the gross and not the net, I'm in, Robin. I've always wanted to be called in front of one of those subcommittees on CSPAN so that I could whisper to a weasely looking lawyer and answer, "I do not recall, Senator." smile

I would never ask us to stoop as low as involvement with congressmen. Rats and raccoons, sure. But congressmen?! Pulease!!

That is unfair to the raccoon and the rat. Raccoons are known to wash regularly and rats did take responsibility for the black plague, so there are two major differences with congresscritters right there.
