I live just off Spring Creek and I saw 3 people in a canoe floating last weekend. As for the fish I keep hearing that they are running but they haven't run across me yet.

Does anyone know a place I can put in on spring creek or cypress creek up stream from jesse jones park ? I have a park in mind but it is a 16 mile paddle to jesse jones park, where I will be getting out. How long would a 16 mile float down stream take if I am in good shape ? I have never did a trip that far before, Any info would be appreciated.

Your a hell of a better man than me. The last time I kayaked that far was in college (ten years ago). I wouldn't so much be worried about the 16 mile float down than the 16 mile paddle back up. My 5 mile float took about 30 minutes but I don't know how fast that water is moving. I guess you could say about an hour and a half if the water is moving pretty good.

The only thing dumber than a fish is a fisherman.
