I just found this section--cool!

I was wondering about Waxahachie creek park on Lake Bardwell,
I went through it and love the trees in it compared to the other parks at this lake.

Anyone camped there?

My family goes here alot...the trees are very nice...most all the camping sites are on the water...the restrooms usually stink pretty bad so dont get a spot close to them

Thanks Guys--
Was thinking of going out there in the next couple of weeks.
I'll have to see if the level is down much.

Finally made it out there Yesterday!

Stayed the night and really liked this campground, LOTS of trees and very friendly park host.
Was able to get a campsite close to the water and caught some fish.
Good Times!

Would it be a good place to bring a canoe?

I didn't take mine and I'm glad I didn't on this trip, we did Ok from the bank, but you could run the bank and go to the feeder creek with one.
There are just some places I would love to put my canoe in, and this spot don't hit me as one, too much open water.

What site did ya get? I'm a park host over at Mott and we took the boat out thur for a little fishing. caught 1 sand bass trolling and 1 cat on jug lines.

Fishing always sucks when they are letting water out of the dam. Were almost at conservation level so they should be closing the gates any day now.

We were at #43--Wonderful site!

The folks at the gate were great, interacted a few times with them.

We met the host "janet".
Very nice lady.

We were made to feel very welcome at this park, and will be back.

I haven't been to Mott park in many years, I'll try to get over there soon but I seem to remember it used to get pretty busy over there.

You have a cool job.
